Natural Resource Management

Water is very essential for life. Since last few decades, water crisis and water related hazards have been becoming burning issues across the Globe which have again exacerbated by the Climate Change. Water underpins almost all economic activities from food production, the mainstay of many economies and critical to people’s livelihoods to manufacturing, energy production and transport etc. Scientific and judicious water management is the need of the hour for economic and social development.

Water Resources

Our specialists provide valued services on surface and groundwater resource planning in a variety of environments to public and private sector clients.

Watershed Management

PAN practices Watershed management as the sustainable development model in their respective ecosystem using scientific method by treating and developing natural surface and ground water sources. The goal is to create sustainable livelihood practices for the local people and restoration of the local ecology, key objectives of the watershed development with the expertise in Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) generating digital watershed model and digital elevation model considering slopes for better understanding and study of the watershed area for watershed planning. In watershed planning process local people participate at grass root level in Stakeholders’ meeting and together they assess environmental, social and economic impacts of the plans. Water security is the hallmark of watersheds developed and managed by PAN in different parts of the country.
